Wife found dead
A 26-year-old married woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her Kenchappa Block, R T Nagar residence, on Wednesday.
Neighbours suspect that Anand, husband of the victim, Neelashree, could be responsible for her death, as he was constantly quarrelling with her.
Neelashree, a beautician, was the second wife of Anand, who runs a skill games parlour in the same area. His first wife, along with two daughters, is residing in the adjoining Munireddy Palya.
Symptoms of asphyxia were clear on the body which was lying on the sofa in the hall. The front door was wide open. A bottle of brandy, a soft drink bottle and a steel tumbler were lying next to the body.
The police are verifying whether the deceased was in the habit of consuming alcohol.
Sources said Anand used come home drunk and physically abuse Neelashree. A few times, the couple's fight had reached the police station.
